Love our WALKER Vikings and I am very proud of the history and traditions. I don't think Walker County has such a bad reputation that it warrants changing the name.

Why change the name of Walker High School when there was nothing wrong with it in the 1st place. I looked forward to my kids attending the same school as I did. This is a very bad decision and why did the community not get a vote? I will forever be a Walker Viking!!!

The changing of the name of Walker High School is unnecessary. If even one single dollar would need to be spent to facilitate the transition, it would be a misallocation of resources that would be better directed as an investment into the education of her student body. Rethink this poor decision!!

We are walker high four generations strong please don't take that from us. I don't know what the thought process was behind this. The name is more than that. It's about pride and heritage. Jasper is a great City with a great high school and it can only be called its true name Walker High - class of 87!

Walker has been the name of our high school for over a 100 years. Walker is the name of our county. Walker is who we are. We will always be Walker. Please don't change it
