The issue isnt the flags, it's the civic leaders. Keep the flags, replace the leaders. God bless America (in spite of itself)!

If you allow people to burn our flag, our symbol of freedom but not to fly it because it's a hazard to hikers...you don't think fire is a hazard when they're burning them?

The flag represents the United States. Not democrate, not republican, but the land of the free and home of the brave.

I understand the concept of "pack it in, pack it out" and "leave only footsteps" in our "wilderness areas". The US Flag can not be considered "litter" as proudly flown. That offends me. No other flags or causes. I believe the US Flag conceptually created this parkland and deserves to be flown with pride!
