As students and staff of the LCCTC school, we feel as if the dress code is too far. During shop week we all completely understand that the dress code is the state requirement because it's business attire and the safest clothing option, however in academics we should be allowed to wear sweatpants, ripped jeans, and leggings. Sweatpants are not a bad thing, they are not tight and they cover every part of your legs. Also for the school district to have us buy our sweatpants WITH THE SCHOOL LOGO on does not make sense at all, all this extra spending as if its required "school uniform." Thank you for your concern.

Reaching this level of support has been a long haul and I am feeling the weight of the work ahead. It is clear I am not the only one frustrated by these unnecessary rules. We keep moving forward.

I have been to votech and I left last year half way through the year due to not loving the shop I chose. I got a detention a couple weeks into that school year and I hear from many friends from votech that it gets worse with the dress code. Dress code at many schools, not just this one, is sexist and doesn't have a reasonable statement why we can't wear what we want, especially girls. I have a lot more to say about dress code but will not be putting it in here. Thank you
if there was no dress code,kids would not stress so much in the morning getting ready for the day and already stressed out before school even starts.
