we had a brilliant lollypop lady there growing up and I bet without her there would of been loads of accidents. its stupid that there isnt one there now.

Every school should have a lollipop lady/man not just a zebra crossing, you get some crazy drivers on the road who think to stop. Bring back the lollipop lady/man to make the children feel safe!

I can't believe this, I went to Laygate infants and juniors in 70s and there was a child killed outside of the school , I never thought theyd remove the lolly pop person after that , absolutely outraged .

mortimer have 4 working around the school just been speaking to me mate who takes her bairn there and said two of them are on the same road two min apart ！！ xx

the speed also needs reduced on this road i was there again this morning and had a near miss due to a car travelling too fast x don't let it take someone's death to make changes happen x

Their should be lollipop men or women or some sort of safe crossing for every school, I know of a few accidents in that area! In this day and age it should be safe for all adults and children to cross the road

Laygate doesn't have 1 lollipop lady around that srea but around ashley road area there is between ashley rd and stanhope rd, 1 between ashley school and mortimer school, 1 between ashley rd and harton moor and THREE at the grwy ben roundabout! Give us 1 of them if they can't afgord to pay someone else!

Cllr Malcolm has been funding improvements and we have been trying to make things safer. I have repeatedly asked for a SCP here sine I started. Hopefully this petition may help.

my son go's to laygate school and we have nearly been hit by a car. I work across the road from the school and it a very busy road all the time. I can not understand why they took away the lollypop man/woman but yet the nook area has two lollypop persons and not one at laygate all school's should have them.
