My name is Lauren Shanks, I am a Junior Political Science major at Illinois Wesleyan. I am from Bloomington, Illinois. I am also apart of the Women's Soccer Team here at IWU. I am interested in joining Student Senate becase it would get me out of my comfort zone a bit and allow me to engage in something other than soccer. In addition, I would have the opportunity to give my input on topics and would get to learn more about the university and other ideas.
