In October 2003 the Lantana Elementary School that was built in 1929 is slated for distruction. Currently petitions are needed to save the school and to be presented to the Palm Beach County School Board so that the school can be given to the Lantana Historical Society for restoration.
I really thought this might just be a quiet project for a few neighbors but the momentum has totally blown me away. It is honestly surreal to see so many people who actually care about keeping that old building standing instead of watching it become a pile of rubble. I need to get moving on printing these out for the board meeting because things are getting real quiet and serious very fast.

My kids went there and it holds so much history. Dont tear it down just to put up another ugly strip mall. Save our history.
