I have been reading through your messages about the travel costs and the distance keeping us from home during the holidays. It is becoming clear that forcing us to choose between our grades and being with family is an unfair burden that TBS needs to address.

Seeing this much energy behind the idea of getting home to our families for the holidays is overwhelming. My own heart goes out to everyone who feels the distance from home right now because this really hits home for me.

I really need to see my family it has been way to long :(
TBS needs to actually listen to the international students for once. This is so unfair.
My flight back home is already booked for the 20th because that was the only way to afford it. Please let us do this online so I dont lose all my money.
Honestly, I think this intensive was created with only French students in mind who can take a train and be home within 3 hours, but unfortunately that is not the reality of all students. I live in the US and not only is it incredibly expensive to get back home on the 24th, I am also missing my Aunt's wedding which I would be able to go to if it weren't for this intensive. This intensive loses time with family and I don't think it is fair to ask students to miss the holidays and cut down their already limited time at home.
As for a student living thousands of miles away and in a country with more restrictions than others, there is only one airline that can take me to my country on the holidays. This airline only works on Wednesdays and Saturdays. However, flying the 23rd of December is way too expensive for me, that’s why I wish I could fly one week before. I would appreciate so much if TBS let us join the language intensive week via online!
