Lusaka Apex Medical University has requested us, it's MBChB students, to find accommodation near Roma campus. Most of us, if not all, find this to be a challenge due to the fact that the school is currently not offering any means of assistance in doing so. All MBChB students (including the potential and aspiring ones) of this school are aware of how we are made to pay a fee of K500 for transportation even when we didn't/don't make use of the school transport during years I and II, which amounts to K2000 paid per student before qualifying to 3rd year to make use of that transportation fee. It is for these concerns/reasons (among others) that this petition has been created.

Dear hardworking students who's parents/guardians/sponsors (including even harder working self sponsored students) please let your voice be heard on this matter. Sign this petition to speak out. Most of us aren't hearing from our Student Union. But that doesn't mean we can't do anything while we wait to hear from them. The appropriate school authorities will be made aware of this Webpage.

So if you are against moving to Roma area please ask your parents and all other concerned parties to sign.

Yours sincerely, a concerned MBChB student.

we parent can hardly find any proper and affordable accommodation even with our current children at UNZA .now the school should add another headache. We No to this move. Besides not only is food such as vegetables, tomotoes expensive in such an area in addition to accommodation! We strongly reject this move or else we our children out. The children will end up in ngombe compounds! With such high crime rate, NO PLEASE!

Let moving to Roma be for those that can manage and not putting it as a mandate! Like it was for the exam class for the 3rd years, Wednesdays to Fridays much time was spent at the DR in the noons and no transport was offered to Roma but was provided to Chalala! More so, its expensive going to Roma relative to going to Chalala. The 4th years get to learn by Ridgeway campus and DR class, will they still expect them to go to Roma? LAMU should change the way of administrative politics! There is no accounts office, no cashier and other administrative offices there, yet the expect you to be coming to Chalala for any single payment you make to have it updated! #NoToRoma_migration

It is not even possible to find boarding houses, the area is small and expensive, some of us can't afford, considering the fact that even the fees for MBChB have been increased, I can't just see how this will work out.

What is the status of the school closure? As a guardian, i am deeply disappointed with APEX operations. Its not easy to make such drastic changes and expect students coming from all walks of life to just adjust to your programs without considering financial background and budget of students. For an institution based in the private sector, its so disappointing to note how disorganized and pathetic how services are been rendered. Next best step is to take legal action against this institution for time been wasted and compensation for straining parents budgets for this uncalled for closure. 2017 is a year of progress, please avoid disappointing us for respecting you
