This petition we are asking The State Board of Education (Ohio) to make changes in the corrupt behavior of administrators and employees in our public school system. We are requesting that changes be made in removing students who commit crimes and create an unsafe learning space, 80 to 180 days is not making a safe educational environment, these crimes should be enough to remove the offenders permanently. We are requesting removal of Superintendent Dr Chad Coffman and Athletic Director Kevin Yeckley as well as looking at the BOE at Lakota local schools with a consideration of recalling the Board Members positions due to the inadequate job being done to protect the students and employees. In January a student was violently attacked at Lakota in the gym locker room. The athletic director or coach was to be in the gym that afternoon and instead left the students unattended. In the months of prosecuting the students who attacked the victim, Dr Coffman and Kevin Yeckley refused to follow the court order of no contact, they refused to believe there was court proceedings going on they spread lies to the school saying that the court washed their hands of the case and we only alleged there was actual prosecution happening and after a 12 yr old boy was raped in the gym locker room and then went through a Sane Exam, they felt 80 days was enough time for those boys to be suspended and the victim to heal and learn to coexist. They only showed concern for the offenders rights to come back to school and play sports as nothing happened. They forced the victim to face the attackers and they made the victim feel as if he were the one that committed the crime, and he was not the victim. The offenders were found delinquent and admitted to what they did in court. The mother of the victim was a certified sub in the school and well liked by everyone including the student body. Dr Coffman made several calls to the mother and myself attempting to intimidate us into not getting the truth out to the Board or the parents of the school and community. Dr Coffman took her hours away from her and refused to make the school safe and left her no choice but to relocate her children to another school. There are now strict guidelines from the court on the students that committed the crime, for sport events,when they are in school and global no contact orders. Dr Coffman and Kevin Yeckley have made it very clear that the safety of the students at Lakota is not their first priority. They do not follow the code of conduct and are clearly negligent in providing a healthy and safe learning environment for the students. Since the court orders have been put into place Dr Coffman and Kevin Yeckley have not followed the court orders and have shamed the victum during a football game and lied to law enforcemement in order to hide the offenders on the property allowing them to play in a basketball game while the victim was there. Myself, my daughter and the victim were treated as criminals and had to prove to law enforcement that they infact were lying. The victim was denied food, bathroom usage and yelled at to go sit down because the offenders were there. We are requesting that the State Board of Education remove them from their positions due to their negligence in this matter. The victim and his family were so proud to be Lakota Raiders and due to the actions of Dr Chad Coffman and Kevin Yeckley they now look at Lakota as an unsafe environment full of deception.
