The management reversed their decision and the racquetball programs are returning to the schedule. I am honestly stunned that this happened but it is entirely because you kept the pressure on. Stay ready to jump back on the court and let us keep an eye on things.
L.A. Fitness has decided to abruptly discontinue their efforts at Organized/Sanctioned racquetball. Programs that are affected include Leagues, Shootouts, and their Fall/Spring Racquetball Classics. It\'s been said by KC Lee that this is in an effort to further concentrate on Basketball because its an Olympic Sport. However it fails to be seen how Racquetball would pose a conflict with any kind of Basketball program.
Please help us in expressing our displeasure in the news that L.A. Fitness is discontinuing a very valuable, (and in some cases the only reason one is an L.A. Fitness member) service.
I truly never imagined that so many people felt this same frustration about our courts. Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am far from the only one who cares about the future of this sport at our gyms. This is all down to your passion and your willingness to speak up.

Bring back the shoots-outs and leagues. This is a huge let down for all the regulars.

The courts are gonna sit empty now. People dont play basketball all day every day. Keep the programs running.

Ridiculous. My husband goes here specifically for the racquetball league. Without it there is no reason to pay these monthly dues.

I only keep my membership for the league games. Basketball is already taking over every court anyway. Bad move LA Fitness.

SERIOUSLY?! I have been playing at this gym for 10 years. Dont kill the sport just to make more room for basketball.
