I undersrand the petition is to allow dogs on a lead and horses with certain restrictions. I wholeheartedly agree to this and feel it is in keeping with the Kurnell environment

Absolutely ridiculous. Everyone is living peacefully out here. Please leave us and our dogs alone. To many, it’s part of the quality of life, being able to walk your dog on the beach. It’s good for mental health. Please just leave things as they are. It will only be detrimental to our community and it’s way of life.

Let us walk our dogs in the beach.

Our dogs are part of our families... let them experience life’s pleasures. They give us so much time and unconditional love!

I request that we should be able to walk our dogs at Kurnell.

Dogs are like our children, we wouldn't close or put time limits on playgrounds, so why have limits for our four legged pups. Most people do the right thing with their pets.

Please allow responsible dogs owners to walk their dogs along the beach at Kurnell

Dogs are an important part of people lives in the shire and while it’s great there’s a stretch of 100m for dogs off leash at silver beach people should have the option to be able to walk their dog along the beach which brings health benefits for many. Even if not the whole length of Kurnell people should be able to walk dogs at least on leash further than the Bonna point beach. With so few dog beaches in Sydney it’s a draw card to bring people to our community and support local businesses as well

Keep Kurnell as a dog friendly place. We need more places in The Shire to share with our furry friends...not less!

As long as people do the right thing with their pets, why cant we walk them on the beach, especially when there are minimal people around. We have a very active dog and also loves having a swim to cool down just like we do!

We use this beach every day with our dog. There are only other dog walkers on the beach each morning and it helps create a great environment among the community

We are a dog loving nation and the vast majority of dog owners are responsible and respectful and their dogs well behaved and well trained. I do not understand the anti-dog stance of this council when I'm sure a large majority of people in the area or visiting either own a dog and love walking them on the beach, or have no problem sharing a beach with dogs and their owners. The majority of beaches should be open for all to enjoy; including dogs. I therefore support off-leash dog areas on beaches in this council and if this is not possible at least on-leash dog walking. I myself do not live in this council but often visit relatives in the area with my dog and I'll be very disappointed if we can no longer enjoy the beaches of Kurnell. I find it strange that while some councils are widening the areas where dogs can be walked on and off leash because they understand the importance of dogs to their communities (e.g. like the councils where I live); others continue to restrict dog walking despite this and the many benefits of this activity for both dogs and their owners.

Please allow dogs on beach and open more dog friendly areas in the shire
