Seeing this much energy behind the idea of getting our dogs on the beach is honestly wild and I keep refreshing the page just to make sure I am seeing it right. It really feels like the council is going to have a hard time ignoring us now that so many people are finally speaking up about how disconnected the current rules actually feel.

Although I do not have a dog I believe those that do should be able to walk their dog on the beach, assuming they also cleanup.
Cleaning up should be an expectation on everyone, including those with children and animals..

Please allow us to continue to be able to walk our dogs and horses along the beach at Kurnell. I have lived there for 35 yrs and it would be great for us residents to be able to continue to do this.

I wonder if the coucilor who made this an issue ever spend time midweek walking along the beach!? If he/she had they would find the majority of people on the beach who enjoying this amazingly unique part of Sydney are enjoying it with their dog.

Part of the reason for living in Kurnell is the small community feel. I am a responsible dog owner that always picks up after my dog and while walking along the beach will not hesitate to pick up rubbish along the way. I don’t see why we can’t have designated hours where we can enjoy the mostly empty shores of Kurnell.

Absolutely ridiculous. Everyone is living peacefully out here. Please leave us and our dogs alone. To many, it’s part of the quality of life, being able to walk your dog on the beach. It’s good for mental health. Please just leave things as they are. It will only be detrimental to our community and it’s way of life.

Kurnell is a social active, beautiful part of the world! It’s also our family town with a dog who has always loved the beach. Sliver beach has always been a dog or horse beach. It would be the responsibility of the owners to put a lead on the pets.
Fine the people who dumped their rubblish here! Not family pets!
