Hello Class of 2023! My name is Kristy Hajjar and I am running to be your 1L SBA Class Representative. I graduated from Wayne State University in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice. My background also consistes of being a part of the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. While I did not commission, I did learn a lot about leadership roles and working as a team, and these are traits that I hope to bring to this role.

After spending a short period of time together it is clear that we come from an array of diverse backgrounds; and even with such diversity, we are all now on a similar path. Although exciting, this path will not be easy. As we all continue to progress week by week we will also continue to find what works best for ourselves when it comes to maneuvering through classes virtually. While our studies are a priority, I truly believe connecting with your classmates and professors is also an important aspect of this journey. In this simulated world we are in today it may be harder to connect with your colleagues, and for this reason I am excited to have the opportunity to build that bridge between classmates and administration to make this upcoming year as fulfilling as it would be if we were in person.

Please keep in mind as we work through this year that you all deserve to be here. Times may get rough, but you are never alone, and I am always here to listen to what you have to say. I hope to meet you all in person one day, but until then I look forward to forming a bond with each and every one of you.
