The Local Station Board (LSB) General Manager Evaluation Committee which is tasked with preparing for the yearly manager’s evaluation has voted 3-2 to exclude most workers at KPFA from participating in Andrew Phillips’ job performance review.  This is a new and exclusionary procedure that strips away a critical piece of workplace and media democracy at KPFA.  We oppose this decision.

The scale of this support proves that people recognize how vital this democratic oversight is for our station. I am exhausted by the pushback we have received but seeing this momentum keeps me moving forward.

Total nonsense. The workers know better than anyone how things are going. let them talk.

Transparency is supposed to be the whole point of KPFA. Why are they hiding the evaluation process from the staff? Totally backwards.

Ridiculous decision. If you want a station that actually serves the community you need to hear from the people actually doing the work every day.

This is exactly why people are losing faith in the LSB. open it up to everyone like it used to be.

What are they afraid of? If he is doing a good job then let the staff speak. stop the silencing.

Keep KPFA democratic! Everyone deserves a say in how their workplace is run.
