Not long ago a new Dunkin Donuts opened on Cedar Road in University Heights. This location is in the heart of the Cleveland kosher-keeping community! The Cedar Center area already supported three kosher eateries more than ten years ago (before the re-development caused them to close) and the community has nearly tripled in size since then, with new schools and synagogues opening and expanding. With such explosive growth, and particularly with the closing of the Lax & Mandel bakery, a kosher Dunkin Donuts is a no-brainer!

There are already more than thirty (30) kosher Dunkin Donut locations operating in states like Maryland, Michigan, Illinois, and Pennsylvania, not to mention New York/New Jersey and Florida. Unlike a full-service steak house, to convert a Dunkin Donuts to kosher is quick and easy. In fact, some of the products may already be kosher! We are blessed with kosher supervision agencies that make the process simple. The investment to make the store kosher would be minimal, and would more than be made up - much more so - by the increased market share kosher certification would bring.

To make this happen, we need to show how important this initiative would be to both our community and the Franchise owners. By signing your petition, you are helping spread the message that you would gladly shop at a Dunkin Donuts right within our community if it became kosher certified, and you agree it would make a wonderful and well-frequented asset in the community.
