As you may be aware, the commercial space previously occupied by Shalom Chai Pizza is now vacant and has drawn interest from numerous food establishments. While all the potential owners likely have in mind a restaurant with a nice ambiance and good food, there is one particular bid by "Grand and Essex" that is unique in that it's goal will be to replace the locations previous dairy fare with an upscale version in a welcoming, warm environment able to satisfy even the most discerning palate as well as any kosher, or vegetarian dietary needs.

The sheer momentum behind this petition proves that our neighborhood is tired of the same old exclusive options. We are forcing these developers to finally listen to what the community actually wants instead of ignoring our dietary needs for their own profit.

Grand and Essex would be great for the block. The last place was okay but we need something a bit nicer for family dinners.
My wife is vegetarian so having a spot that caters to both is a huge plus for us. Hope this happens.
PLEASE bring this here! The neighborhood is empty anyway.
Good food and kosher friendly is exactly what we are missing. Would love to have somewhere walking distance to go on friday nights.
We seriously need more kosher options around here. Tired of driving so far for a decent meal.
A nice kosher restaurant would really attract me to the neighborhood.

Finally a place that sounds decent. Fingers crossed they actually open.
