I have been standing at the corner of Alderbrook and Kodiak each morning to watch how close the traffic gets to the students. Watching these kids navigate those cars validates exactly why we started this fight for a crossing guard. I am currently compiling all your personal stories about near-misses to present to the school board so they understand the urgency.

Seeing this kind of momentum brings me so much relief for the kids who walk this route every morning. It feels like the neighborhood is finally pulling together to fix this danger before someone gets hurt.

Ridiculous that it takes a near miss for the city to do anything. Put someone there now before a kid actually gets hit.
Fix this intersection ASAP. The traffic around the school is just getting worse every single year.
My kids walk this way every morning and it scares me to death seeing how fast people fly through that turn.
Need someone there. Yesterday I saw a truck almost clip a group of walkers. Scary stuff.
Agreed!! Too many cars ignore the crosswalk there anyway.

I see cars not even slowing down at that corner. It is a nightmare for the kids.
