The naming of this field in honor of Paul Fournet is appropriate and well deserving. Paul made hugh contributions to the growth of avation in Acadiana.

The name Paul Fournet is synonymous with the name Lafayette Regional Airport. While Paul was still with us, he politically kept the general aviation user friendly, unlike the condition it is in now at the hands of the political buffoons running the field.

As the first female in the history of the Lafayette airport to get a private pilot's license at minimum age, I fully support this petition.

I worked at the LFT FSS 1964-69 and 1972-73 and knew Paul well. No one contributed more to the growth of aviation in Lafayette or is more deserving of having his name identified with the airport.

This family's long time efforts and work paved the way to make this regoinal airport what it is today, without doubt the credit owed them is small in comparison to the many years of their dedication to the Laffette area.
