By signing below, you are expressing interest in the fundraising license plate project and agreeing that you would be interested in purchasing the plate yourself and/or have family and friends that would be interested in purchasing.

Legislation is currently in the house to allow Kiwanis, along with a few other service groups, to have a State of Michigan fundraising license plate. If the house approves, and the governor signs off on the bill, the Michigan District of Kiwanis will need to raise about $90,000 to get the project started. While this may seem like a huge undertaking, we have 18 months to raise the money, and if we are not successful in the goal, we are able to walk away with no penalty. If we are successful at raising the funds and the project pushes forward, we have the potential to raise, conservatively, $300,000 for the Michigan District of Kiwanis over a 10 year period. This will result in residual, non dues revenue that our district has been seeking as part of our strategic plan. Initial cost of the license plate is $35, $25 of which will come back to the Michigan District of Kiwanis. Upon renewal each year, $10 will be charged (of which all $10 comes back to the Michigan District of Kiwanis).
