One person objects and they are removing the name of a First World War Heroine from a War Memorial. This is disgusting, this woman left her village and never returned, sacrificing her life for the safety and freedom of others. The overwhelming response shows that our community refuses to let this hero be forgotten. Call the Dartmoor National Park Authority office today and demand they stop this removal immediately.

It is high time the women of WW1 were remembered. There are so few on War Memorials - that should be put right.
Anyone, male or female who served this country in time of War deserves commemoration - in the name that they wished to be known by. Lest WE Forget
It is disgusting that the names of many women who died in War service during WW1 ad WW2 weren't added when the memorials were created. The objector doesn't have to look at the memorial if it upsets her. Keep Kitty on there.
It seems like petty arrogance is at play. There is no reason her name should be taken off. This girl joined the war effort at 17 and died at 19!! Where are your hearts. If your decision is that it must come off then let it stay until a new memorial can be built. God bless her.
To remove this girl's name from the memorial implies she is less than equal to everyone else on it, even though she gave her life for her country. What a disgusting decision by the War Memorials Trust, a charity who will never get another penny from me again.

This brave ladies name should remain on the memorial as it is in it's rightful place. Kitty died in service just like my great uncle and the rest of the brave people of WW1
