The area surrounding KFC in Halesowen is continuously covered in unacceptable levels of litter, of which the majority is related to the fast food chain.
The restaurant is located in one of the main thoroughfares in and out of Halesowen, and as such has been subjected to litter picks by volunteers. Restaurant management has also been approached by members of the public, but there is very little interest from them in keeping Halesowen tidy.
Now that KFC has become established in Halesowen, we feel that the company needs to take responsibility for keeping the local area free of KFC litter. We would like the company to carry out timed litter picks to remove the paper and food debris from, and not limited to, Earls Way, Whitehall Road, Mucklow Hill island, and Townsend Island.
In 2014 Halesowen took part in the Britain in Bloom campaign. It would be a great shame if a multi-national company such as KFC ruined Halesowen's chances in the 2015 campaign by not taking responsibility for the impact it is having on the local environment.

The management at the restaurant continues to ignore our requests for a meeting about the trash on the streets. Take a moment to post this link on the Halesowen community Facebook page so they have to acknowledge the scale of our frustration. Email your local council representative today and demand they hold this business accountable for the state of Earls Way.

The momentum behind this campaign shows that our community is tired of the trash piling up on our streets. Use this energy to email the Halesowen KFC management today and demand they schedule regular litter picks for our neighborhoods.

We have Blooming worked so hard to keep the area around this site clean with our volunteers! Corporate reposnibility by these businesses is long overdue!
The state of surrounding area to the returante is a reflection on management and how KFC is being run.
disgusting how they do not clean up their rubbish, before long (if not already)there will be plagues of rats causing a health hazzard!!!!
It's a disgrace that people first of all throw down their litter, secondly that KFC do not have litter pickers to remove litter if McDonald's can do it so should KFC, there are certain groups in Halesowen who are trying to keep our town tidy and litter free but this is unacceptable mess.
i used this place when it first opened, not now it's become a dump. How much would it cost to get someone out there twices day for 5 minutes? It would seem an immature management problem!

This area needs to be cleaned on a regular basis daily. It's spoiling the area but also posing dangers to animals and children
