The school board has officially granted approval for the KEY Academy charter. It is a relief to see our vision for this community validated after so much diligent work. I look forward to the next steps as we begin to build the school we imagined together.

Final supporters
We, the undersigned are parents and community members, that believe that the attached charter merits consideration and hereby petition Hayward Unified School District to grant approval of the charter pursuant to Education Code Section 47605 to enable the creation of KEY Academy.
The petitioners authorize the Lead Petitioner, Krista Kastriotis, to make or negotiate amendments to the attached charter as necessary to secure approval by the Hayward Unified School District Board of Education.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

The process of preparing the charter for review has been thorough and has required a great deal of coordination. I appreciate the patience shown by everyone while we work through the administrative requirements to ensure our proposal is as strong as it can be. This period of quiet preparation is necessary to build a foundation that will hold up under formal scrutiny.

Hayward needs better options for our kids. cant wait to see this school open.
I really hope they get the green light soon. My nephew would love this place.
The local schools are way overcrowded. open up the academy already.
It is about time we had more choices in this district. tired of the same old failing systems.
