Traffic lights at MANY roundabouts are a hindrance. Traffic lights at ALL roundabouts are a hindrance at night and other times of low traffic flow.

I use this roundabout most days commuting from Boat of Garten to Dingwall. One day This week, for the second time in a few months, the traffic lights were out of action and the traffic was again clearly flowing far better, in all directions, than when the lights are in operation. The sequencing of the lights normally causes significant danger every morning when driving north due to vehicles in the outside lane having to swap to the inside lane half way round due to stationary traffic on the roundabout stopped by the lights from continuing right

Wholly agree. Traffic flow vastly improves when lights are off. Please remove them. People know how to use a roundabout and it worked better before.

Monday (I think) morning of 20th January - traffic lights weren't working when I came into Inverness at 8.30am - result - no traffic queues at the roundabout in ANY direction!

I used this section of road for many years prior to the installation of traffic lights. There was never a delay. Since the traffic lights went operational on the round -about the situation changed completely. I have had three near misses when stationary on the round-about at a red light whilst other cars were clear to go and accelerating on a green light. Dangerous to say the least. Time to remove them to avoid dangerous situations and delays.

If they don't believe us, why not trial it for a week to see whether it will be better & easier for all. Will prove it one way or another.

The most ridiculous use of traffic lights imaginable, causing endless delays and frustration. Add in the new system took away the left hand filter so northbound traffic could no longer filter through and into the town and its a nightmare. I suspect a lot of local traffic now uses Milburn Road and Stadium Road to avoid this junction, brilliant traffic management from the 'experts'. remove the lights and let the system work as it's designed, as a roundabout!

Have always thought these lights cause problems! use the bridge twice a day everyday and am delighted when lights are not functioning, It happened at the end of last year too and everyone got to work on time!!

The staggered phasing of lights going North and South causes dangerous congestion, especially traffic heading North turning right into Stadium Road. I have witnessed many near misses!

I have never seen such a stupid system of lights. Many times heading North I pass a green light only to be stopped by a red one less than 50 yards ahead. Ludicrous!

Having travelled from the north on a daily basis for many years I have been caught in more tailbacks since the traffic lights appeared than before, usually stopped at two of the lights where as before you may have only been stopped once when getting onto the roundabout. It takes longer to get into Inverness during the non peak time traffic times.

Roundabouts were never designed to have traffic lights. If lights are a requirement roundabout should be removed and replaced with a junction

Total waste of time, sequenced all wrong, I wouldn't like to even try to count the amount of time/money wasted at this excuse for traffic control. Admit it now and get rid.

it's quite clear the lights are there to make the roundabout inadequate for the level of traffic thereby creating a need for road improvements. in other words "Jobs for the Boys"

Put the Speed Limit on the bridge back to what it was before the bridge repairs - 50mph is way too low, and it is waisting loads of police man hours because they love hanging around the bridge trying to catch people exceeding 50mph!

I come up on holiday to see my parents regularly and since the have put the lights there the traffic is not so free flowing which causes a build up of traffic.

This junction works better as just a roundabout with no lights. This was proved a couple of days ago when the lights weren't working. Result was reduced tailbacks and better traffic flow.
