Kessock Bridge Lights

They need to go.

Just get them turned off and get traffic flowing properly.A simple trip to the recycling centre has turned into an expedition since the lights were kept on permanently.

It`s a no brainer just turn the lights off, It was fine before and I thought the lights were only for the duration of the bridge repairs.

Live on west coast and travel by car frequently. Traffic lights are awful. Better when they break! The lane set up is also awful with lanes being blocked.

Went to the train station on Monday and the lights were out. Never got into Inverness so quickly before. Brill

The lights are a complete annoyance and absurdity, as well as dangerous, and every time they fail, traffic flows much more easily, quickly and safely. remove this "temporary" measure forthwith.

Before Transport Scotland put the lights up traffic flow were much beer than now. Which over-paid numpty decided lights would be a good idea? How often have they tried to cross the bridge since the lights went in. Get rid of the lights and let traffic flow freely.

The belligerence of Transport Scotland and the Scottish Government Infrastructure Minister over this matter is sadly typical - defies belief.

They even hold up the flow of traffic at of peak times. Been a disaster since they were installed.

It's about time Transport Scotland woke up and started listening to the public that knows best how the roads operate in our area. Their disrespect of people is characteristic of this government and it will eventually be what brings them down.

It is utter madness to put traffic lights on roundabouts especially when there is virtually no foot traffic at that point.

Only the so-called 'traffic experts' think these lights are a good idea - they should be removed immediately.

I think a trial period with no lights would be a very sensible way to go.

The situation is dangerous and is an issue for me when I drive down to Inverness from Caithness. I worry in advance about going through this traffic system and it causes me stress.

These traffic lights are a hinderence to the traffic flow. Drivers should be responsible for their actions at the roundabout, not treated like sheep.

Also went through roundabout on Tuesday when lights off and no waiting at all!

Visitors must wonder what they have done wrong as they find themselves backed up between traffic lights on the actual roundabout wondering when it will be safe to inch forward.

This roundabout is terrible to negotiate since traffic lights were installed! I regularly find I am held up when joining the roundabout from the south, heading for Stadium Road.... It is as if the lights have been purposefully set to hinder traffic progress!! There is no flow encouraged, as when one set of lights lets you go at green, the next is at red, and so on... Regularly there is no traffic coming off the bridge, and I sit at a red light waiting for it to change, hindering the traffic coming out of the Longman. Seems to me the roundabout is too small for a traffic light system, with too few lanes to allow traffic to flow easily. The answer, which is clear to all drivers who use the roundabout regularly, is to remove the lights completely; those responsible for suggesting/approving/installing the lights may justifiably be considered incompetent, however well meaning they may have been. While they are at it, they could rip out several sets of recently installed traffic choking lights through Nairn too...!
