The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is known for many things, but visual design may not be among them. As a result, Kentucky\'s license plates have never been widely applauded for their aesthetic beauty. Luckily, the Cabinet will produce and offer specialty license plates in other designs if more than 900 motorists request it. There is an extra fee for each specialty plate, and money from each purchase is donated to the sponsor\'s non-profit, non-political, non-religious charity. See the design at www.louisville.cc
