We, the undersigned, oppose the current proposal to build a central library in the Town of Tonawanda which would replace and close our current Village of Kenmore branch located on Delaware Road. We feel that the Kenmore library provides an important and educational service that if closed would be damaging to our community. The Kenmore library is close in proximity to many schools, is easy to access by car as well as by pedestrians and is located in one of the most heavily populated areas of town. We do not necessarily oppose the building of a new library located in another part of the Town, but do not and will not support such a proposal if it includes the closing of the Kenmore Branch.
