The Northville Township Board has recently decided to lay-off 5 officers with the police department, including the Northville High School Liasion and the D.A.R.E Officer. The Board has said that the millage renewal will not be placed on the ballot next year for voters to decide if they want to maintain the current millage and increase it if needed. If you are a registered Northville Township voter and agree we need to keep our police officers and feel the voters should have the opportunity to decide on the millage increase, please sign the petition. Thank you.
The volume of support gathered indicates clear public opposition to the current Board path. I have requested a formal meeting with the Township Supervisor to present these signatures and demand a reversal on the millage decision.

5 officers gone?? Unbelievable. We pay our taxes for a reason and safety should be the first priority. Put it on the ballot.

My kids love the DARE officer and we need that presence in the schools. This is a massive mistake by the board.

Keep our officers. These cuts are going to leave us way too vulnerable. Let the people vote on the millage and stop playing games with our safety.
