We Want To Keep Our Quality Art Program: The art program at Lupin Hill Elementary will be negatively impacted as a result of the proposed 30% reduction in hours for our specialist, Michele Young. Lupin Hill�s administration intends to cut Michele Young�s hours from 21 to 14 a week. This 30% cut will adversely affect the preparation time necessary to run a quality art program even though the funds were raised to support art, music and computers. Your generous contributions and fundraising efforts have enabled the Lupin Hill Parent Faculty Club (PFC) to have the funds for our vital art program. Art education plays a significant role in a child�s academic and social development. Lupin Hill�s PFC has the funds to pay Michele Young�s salary. WE OBJECT to those funds being diverted to areas it was not intended for. Our children can benefit from having art once a week like music and computers, instead of every other week.
