With the changing face of Bergen County Government. Carlstadt Councilman Joseph Crifasi has been called upon by newly elected Bergen County Executive Kathe Donovan to become Director of Bergen County Department of Public works. Since being elected Mrs Donovan has fulfilled many of her campaign promises. Mrs Donovan has requested that anyone member of her executive staff that holds a public office not seek reelection. This is consistent with Mrs Donovan's vision of changing Bergen County Government and a Noble one at that . However, by making this request Mrs Donovan is putting an unforeseen burden on the taxpayers of Carlstadt. Mr Crifasi's knowledge and commitment to Carlstadt is unsurpassed. He is a major factor in keeping the taxes one of the lowest in the County. Mr Crifasi is the Finance Chairman and Department of Public Works Council Liason. Therefore, We the taxpayers request that Mrs Donovan reconsider her stance and allow Mr Crifasi to continue keeping the the Carlstadt taxes one of the lowest in the County.
