Dr. Troy Gregory has been a professor at Lee University for several years. Through his time at Lee, he has gotten the attention of many students by his unconventional yet successful ways of teaching. At Lee University we are encouraged to have an open opinion of the world and to explore the possibilities of what is out there for us. Dr. Gregory has managed to incorporate this into his curriculum in multiple ways as well as keep the rudimentary lessons that need to be taught. He teaches students who are in lower levels of English as well as upper level courses. Through this variety of students that he reaches, Dr. Gregory finds ways to expand the horizons of young minds and challenge the theories that have already been set in the minds of those who are more experienced. With all of this said, Dr. Gregory was not asked to return to Lee University next semester. The root of the problem was not completely disclosed, however, this decision is not one that has created a positive reaction.
We need your help to keep Dr. Gregory at Lee University by signing this petition.
The administration is still refusing to provide a clear reason for why Dr. Gregory is not returning. Take ten minutes today to call the Dean's office and demand a transparent explanation for this decision.

The momentum behind this effort is undeniable and shows exactly how much Dr. Gregory means to our campus. Now we need to turn this energy into action by emailing the administration directly to demand he be retained. Please send your message today and forward this link to your classmates.

As a former student of Professor Gregory's, I know how lucky I was to have him in my corner. His encouragement and guidance allowed me to complete my final directed study as well as present it at the annual sporting literature conference. He is kind, knowledgeable, and he takes a genuine interest in his students. These qualities are something one looks for in a professor, but they are not always found. Any university would be very lucky to have Professor Gregory.

Taking his class was the highlight of my semester. He challenged me to actually think for myself and not just repeat what the textbook said.

He helped me so much with my senior paper when I was about to drop out. Lee is making a huge mistake letting him go.

Dr. Gregory is the reason I even made it through English 101. He actually cares if we learn stuff instead of just reading off slides like the other professors.
