McMaster University’s budget cuts have been significantly affecting the quality of education its students receive, lowering the standard of high quality education by cutting extraordinary professors in order to "save" money to fit a budget. When students lose remarkable professors who motivate students in learning, the University lowers the quality of an education expected from an institution such as McMaster.
By signing this petition you are affirming your belief that McMaster University should rehire and support individuals who demonstrate the highest quality in teaching, advising, and mentoring. You believe Professor Govind Rao is one such individual and that McMaster’s administration and Department of Political Science should renew his contract and retain him, thus recognizing his extraordinary value as a member of the university community.
