Governor Wolf has once again eliminated funding for Tourette Syndrome in his proposed budget for next year! Since 1993, the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance (PA-TSA) has provided information, education and disability advocacy to individuals with Tourette Syndrome through a grant from the PA Department of Health. This funding helps individuals with this misunderstood neurological condition be supported and accepted.
Tourette Syndrome can be debilitating, but worse is the treatment received by sufferers when those around them do
not understand. Funding for Tourette Syndrome continues to make a difference in the lives of children and adults with TS. The support and education provided by
the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance cannot be replaced.

I just saw we hit a hundred signatures and I honestly keep refreshing the page because my brain has a hard time processing that many people actually care about this. It really makes me think about all the kids needing these services who probably feel so invisible right now except maybe they aren't anymore because look at this list.

Mother of a sweet child with tourettes, he is 13 and trying real hard to educate people. Just yesterday a substitute teacher yelled at him for his tics. We all have to work together to educate everyone we can about this disease.
My niece's family utilized services from the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance this past year. It was an invaluable resource that litfed the entire family. Siblings became closer and more understanding, the TS affected child's symptoms became more manageable and his parents found a support system. Please know how much this tremendous resource has helped.
Tourette’s is a difficult condition with an enormous social stigma. Individuals Are often ostracized for behaviors out of their control. Public funding would help to educate the public regarding this condition and provide assistance to individuals who suffer from it.
My son is now 39 years old this organization stood by us they sat with us in the meetings that allowed him to get the education he deserved and they were there for support at the other end of the phone our family would not be where we are today without this organization. Please support fund the TSA Alliance
My child has Tourette Syndrome and we benefit from the services provided by PATSA. Every year they help and advocate for my son at the school and review the 504 plan with us. Please keep PATSA funded so they can continue to provide education,training, outreach, and advocacy for individuals and families with TS.
The Tourette Sevices needs funding from this state! It is more than a vital services!

My son has Tourette syndrome and a collection of other comorbities (ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, mood disorder, learning and social skills deficits, sensory processing problems, and dyspraxia). We have found the resources from PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance invaluable.
