Keep this family together!

Please allow these elderly dogs to remain with the rest of their family. Surely an exception is the most humane solution in this case. The dogs are obviously being well cared for and are at an age and health status where rehoming is not an option.

You can’t remove dogs from a household that have had them and that’s been okay for 10years. That’s ridiculous!!! No more new dogs when these pass on but until then you need to leave it be. Unbelievable....

You can change rules but you must honour previous agreements, it’s standard law.

Have a heart council....

Dogs are family! How can they enforce anyone to get rid of a family member!

These dogs are not belongings, they are FAMILY. Show some compassion.

Please keep the ageing dogs together.

If 2 dogs are elderly, let the owner be given notice that they are not to increase the number of dogs they own. Elderly dogs deserve to be looked after for the last few months of years of life in a familiar environment.

Given the age and ill health of the dogs, it is unfair to separate them- there must be another option.

This is incredibly cruel. In this day and age when people are being educated about having a dog for life, they are trying to force people to abandon these poor animals. Question is, where do these poor animals go? To the overful RSPCA or the pound? Absolutely disgusting!

This is an outrageous demand by the council, heartless!! And the council represents the people of the region?? I think not, cold hearted.

Please keep this family together.

Let these beautiful dogs live their final years with their family, they are very well loved and looked after and, to remove them now would be very disturbing for ALL concerned, where's your Heart Hume City Council??? Show some compassion, please don't tear a happy family apart.

This is ridiculous! Leave these people alone & let the dogs they have naturally live out their lives.

This is a matter of compassion and what’s best for these beautiful dogs. Removing a pet from their family is cruel, stressful and could even deteriorate their health so much that they pass away, especially at their age.

At some point in time compassion and common sense should apply. We have lost that over the years.

Family is family no matter how it is made. You just don't kick them.

This is absolutely disgusting why cant they just do welfare checks and make sure its not a problem with noise etc for the community....legit cant even think outside the box....do they not have brains at the Council
