I am not nor have I ever lived in WV. BUT I think the name should remain the same. It is just someone's way of trying to change or rewrite history. Get over it... what happened then is the past. Quit trying to cause trouble. It is people like this that are going to cause a race war that our children and grandchildren and even great grandchildren are going to have to fight.

I am so tired of the people in our country who have no self discipline and try to tear down everyone's heritage. If you don't like the name of the school, get over it. The world does not revolve around YOU! If we are going to allow self-centered people to keep throwing tantrums to get their way over historic names and emblems, and removing historic relics, then by all means, let's just outlaw history altogether. So not allow it to be taught in the schools, especially since we have so many nut jobs voicing historical opinions instead of historical facts. Please help Donald Trump make America great again.

I am pleased the Confederate flags are coming down - they represent the past not today. However, we honor our past, flawed and all, with statues, roads, buildings, etc. Gen Jackson was from, what is now, WV. We do not hide our history. FYI: I am not an alumni of the school and my children and I attended rival schools. We should keep the name.

Keep the name. You can't change history by taking a name off a building. Jackson was an important man in history. We should be reminded on the sacrifices made to form this nation.
