When will we stop being "offended" every time someone sneezes??? SJMS has been an honorable name for years on end. Now because a maniac goes on a rampage [which had absolutely nothing to do with SJHS or the flag] we are being asked to delete our history.

The school is a landmark. Leave the name alone for God sakes. My grandmother graduated from there and my son went there for three years and next year he will be going to Capital High School. People just can't leave well enough alone can they? They have too much time on there hands.

I am not a southerner, nor a SJHS grad. I am glad the Confederate flag has been taken down in S Carolina. But Stonewall Jackson was a great military leader, born in WV... Yes he .fought for the south. Many West Virginians did. Dont change the name of this school.

It's unfair to take away a name of a school because the guy was part of the confederate army . Everyone is going over board with all the banning the confederate flag stuff , anyone who knows their history , knows that the Confederate Army was the first army to allow "black men" to join their army as "free men" therefore it's NOT racist,

Does anyone else feel that people are laughing at us. Just because one or 2 are offended (oh wait how many years has Stonewall Jackson been called that? LOL) and now the are crying and offended???? That is crap and they are secretly laughing at society for listening. STOP this abuse and say enough is enough! No More keep Stonewall Jackson name!
