Quit nit picking about our school !! It was Stonewall Jackson High School when I attended for three years and graduated from there in 1962. Why after all of these years would anyone want to change the name.

To be politically correct , we must then remove the name of every man and woman from the name of every building , statue and highway. The only way to truly not offend anyone is to be truly generic. That is ridiculous. Are we going to erase the name of every great man and woman in the history of this country because they were black or white or Native American. Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Wiccan, Muslim. Man, WomanRepublic, Democrat. North, South. When is this foolish going to stop. Stonewall Jackson was a brilliant General and the North would have loved to have him. In WWII, Field Marshall Rommel, one of the Best the Germans had studied Jackson's Cavalry tactics in the movements of his Tank Brigades. Using Jacksons tactic's , Rommel was almost unbeatable. Rommel was not a Nazi, he was a loyal patriot who killed himself because he was outspoken against Hitler. Jackson was not Pro-Slavery. He was a man who believed the south had the constitutional right to succeed from the Union. You all get your History right . Take Lincoln's Name of things. Mr. Abraham Lincoln was in fact Pro-Slavery. Geeeeezzzz !!!!!

There has not been anything wrong with the name for 60 years why change it now Stonewall Jackson is a part of our county history . This is a bunch of nit picking.

Don't erase history. Don't be like Terriorists who destroyed historical monuments in Iraq or Russia who erased the history of those out of favor. This goes against freedom of speech.
