There is an old saying that if you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it. Do we forget everything about our history? The Civil War made us the nation we are today, how does erasing our historical heritage make us better?

Such a senseless issue to create. A nut committed a crime. Changing the name or taking down a flag does need to be done because it is a part of our history and needs to be seen. The flag itself or a name does not mean that modern times Americans, i.e. normal people, espouse the same values as the people in our nistory
