There is no reason the name should be changed! Once a Rebel, always a Rebel!!

Leave it alone. Nothing about the word rebel implies racism. Tell the NAACP to shove it. This is getting silly.

It's way past time for Americans to stand up for the rights given to us in the Constitution.

This is being taken WAY to far..if our Rebels r going to be pointed at and ridiculed because were proud, then i think next these things should be removed as well, due to the offensiveness that it portrays: NAACP should be dissolved kkk flags banned nazi flags banned black history month dissolved MLK roads from east to west renamed black people.com dissolved And im sure we can think of more!! The south is proud of where weve come FROM..were not still there, so leave us alone.. #confederateflagrights #rebelstrong #thishasgonetoofar

I graduated in 1995 and the "Rebels" name has nothing to do with hatred or racism. Let the school keep the name.

keep the Rebel name. It is no way in a form of race!!! It is just a name. No offense to anyone!!!! THe NAACP is starting up its on race on race war, with all the hype and control issue they have. Not every flag, school name etc is a direct stab at any minority! It is just a name. And it is a name I am proud to stand by! CLass of 99!
