If you don't like Food basics, nobody is holding a gun to your head to shop there.
Be an adult and just go somewhere else.
How dare you yuppies move in to this neighbourhood and start dictating on what can and can't be here?
Those people with the "I only bought at Fuse because of a Metro" comments, really need some life coaching.

This isn't complicated. The neighbourhood isn't low end, and hasn't been for a long long time - and no one in it is thrilled to see low end storefronts open up.

Food Basics doesn't have prepared foods, which is why I want Metro back.

We need a decent grocery store in this area. We already have a Freshco and a No Frills that are easily accessible without having to use the TTC for people who prefer lower end grocery stores.

Was sold on this neighbourhood for the new changes! Tired of the low budget cheapness here

I am dissapointed with the bait and switch and was hoping for a grocery that would offer greater product selection and access to the department services such as the meat/fish and bakery, considering the other grocery store options currently available nearby.

If you can afford to pay top dollar then you most have a nice car you can use to drive to what ever store you want.

There are more then enough discount grocery stores. I would like to pay top dollar for a more premium selection of products.

I hate paying reasonable prices for food. I demand to pay exorbitant prices. It is my right as a Canadian

Michael Gorman you are a horrible person. You are clearly enjoying your two minutes of fame while your actions tear apart what used to be a great community. Shame on you.

I've been waiting to get a grocery within walking distance that offers quality food that I'm willing to pay for. If this continues to be a Food Basics, I'll continue to drive to the nearby Loblaws. It's too bad if Metro doesnt recognize the changing demographic and needs of the area.

I have lived 2 mins away from the location for the last 25 years. I personally have no preference if it's a metro or a food basics. But I do however support this petition based on the fact that it is a bait and switch. I have seen that metro sign for 4 years, and then poof !!! It was advertised as a feature of purshasing in the neighbourhood, so it should stick.

I bet you these same group of "higher class" people who are upset about this, probably shop at Goodwill and Value Village.

Food basics? Are you f-ing kidding me?
I absolutely will not shop in the same establishment as the plebs!
I think that we all can agree that the lower class folks suck!
I want a Metro!!!
If you poor folks have a problem with that, then GTFO and move to Scarborough.
Discount establishments should be abolished!
it is a upcoming area, we need the Metro
Bait and switch.
