A memorials to a city's dead is not the same character as a statue to a traitor general. I am in favor of preserving the memorials.

BLM is a radical racist group, the Civil War did end slavery but many African American's fought for the South. These Confederate Hero's were American's first, the North destroyed the South. To remove statues that might offend a few people is like destroying history for no good reason, what about the Hundreds of Thousands you will offend by doing it.

Don’t destroy a monument erected to honor dead soldiers. It’s a way to teach future generations about that war, which states seceded, etc.

Lifelong resident of Pensacola.
My parents graduated from PHS, across the street from Lee Square, and I think it is one of the most important remaining pieces if Pensacola History. Please fight to keep it!

We need to keep our history alive.
People who don't understand our history are the ones that will repeat it. Learn not cry over the history.
Pensacola is a city of Five Flags.
Quit trying to erase something you don't understand. Grow up and learn from mistakes made in the past.
