the council actually dropped the complaint and said the koala can stay right where it is. honestly im just so happy that we dont have to paint over it after all this work. thank you all for helping me save this little guy.

Final supporters
The Malmesbury Koala is one of my proudest moments with a spray can. A little hug on the corner of small towns street, adorning the walls of a fantastic small nursery. Sadly Wiltshire council have received 'a complaint' and have judged the artwork to be one large advert and not art (though the painted mural has no business name, no phone number and no web address.) I understand that street art of this scale may not be to everyones taste but this petition aims at gathering the positive comments of Malmesbury people or just street art fans in general. The more positive comments can only help our cause in keeping the koala on this ancient towns street. The petition will be submitted to Wiltshire Council by K&S Child
care along with retorspective planning permission for advertising (though we dont want to do this, but our hands are tied! )Positive comments needed to help Keep the Koala art and gain retrospective planning permission. http://www.thestencilshed.co.uk/koala-house/459061...

Love the artwork, far from advertising it livens what is a plan end wall. Most people in Malmesbury know K&S are child minders word of mouth is & has been the only advertising they've needed to provide a vital service supporting working Mums & Dad's in and around the town.
There is no logo there is no price there is no place of purchase so therefore is not add. If more Street art was allowed it would make any place much more nicer to live. Its not offensive and is done to high standards so please leave it be. Thanks
Wiltshire Council please leave this beautiful piece of art alone. Everyone smiles when they see it me included. Just remember if you say it has to go, how many children you will upset. We've just lost some tree's there so please let us at least keep this.
This is a fabulous and highly skillful piece of art that not only enriches the day of whoever sees it, but is teaching our children how it is possible to respect and enliven our wonderful town through sharing talent and investing in our surroundings. Keep the koalas!
How wonderful to see such talented and beautiful artwork brightening up the town. I bet the children love it, it would make me smile everytime i saw it. I am in Tetbury and didn't realise it was there, i will be bringing my son down to see it now.

Do you remember Esther Rantzen's TV programme 'That's Life!'? The programme regularly referred to councils being 'Jobsworths', trying to enforce ridiculous laws. This sort of street art just brightens things up. Let it stay.
