At the 2017 Homecoming dance last fall, the gym lights were on for the majority of the dance. Most students were NOT HAPPY with this choice, and many seniors experienced an AWFUL last homecoming due to the lights being on. This was not the high school dance we PAID to have. The gym was practically EMPTY at the end of the dance because many students left due to an overwhelming amount of annoyance. The administration member(s) responsible, did this to try and prevent the grinding going on in the gym; some kids kept on grinding even with the lights on. Frankly, teenagers will be teenagers. Having the lights on at WINFO 2018 will not stop the grinding; what having the lights on WILL do is encourage the students to leave the dance and be out in the streets, causing more trouble that if they stayed harmlessly grinding at the dance. In order for kids to stay at the dance, and out of outside trouble, the lights should stay off. Sign this petition to keep the lights off, and give the students the WINFO they deserve. I have been hearing from so many of you who felt just as cheated by last year as I did. It is frustrating to realize that they think bright lights are the solution to an issue that will happen regardless of the setting. Keep talking about this because the administration needs to understand that we are not going to accept another ruined night.

Seeing one hundred people sign this shows me that I am definitely not the only student frustrated by last year. It feels good to know that so many of you want a better experience at Winfo this time around.

bruh literally nobody wants to dance in a bright gym like its a cafeteria lunch period. kill the lights.
it was so awkward last year. felt like i was at a middle school lock in or something not a high school winfo
if the lights are on again i am literally not even going. save my money.
the administration is actually so out of touch its hilarious. turn them off.
Watching people grind with the lights on made me want to throw up / take out my eyes
