I honestly never thought five hundred people would care about our nativity scene as much as I do. You all have completely blown me away with this response because this outcome is entirely thanks to your passion for our town traditions.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people care about our tradition. If you can help us reach that next milestone of five hundred before we go to meet with the officials it would be a huge help for our case.

I don't really think this is fair to the non-religious people in your community or to the people in your community who are not christian. Please think about it. You are the majority BUT they deserve respect as well.
This scene has been a part of my family's Christmas for as long as I can remember. Please dont take this away from our town.

Keep our traditions alive!! Athens wont be the same without it. Leave it where it belongs.
If you dont like it then just dont look at it. Simple as that. Tired of people complaining about everything.

If a certain group does not believe in Christmas , God, or celebrate the season, then do as others do. Do not be a part of it. Do not bring it into your home; do not spend time ,or effort concerning yourself with it! I do not partake in customs of other religious groups. But, see the news about their celebrations , the special foods, and decorations. It is fine with us. We support the rights and customs of any peaceful religion. Christmas is a Christian celebration. America was founded on the basis of Christian freedom. If you choose to live in America, then let Americans celebrate the history and beliefs that the colonists fought so hard for. Have a blessed Christmas Athens!
