Squizz is a small business running at the Marche Notre-Dame in Versailles since July 2008 and is now in jeopardy of being removed. The City of Versailles is the operator of the Marche Notre-Dame, wanting to transform the market to exclusively organic.
Squizz is an independently owned and operated establishment, specializing in crepes and freshly squeezed orange juice from carefully chosen and tasted oranges at the Rungis market. The owner, Karim Aliliche, only used prime produce from local markets, always giving back to the local economy.
The crepe stand was the first of its kind at the Marche Notre-Dame and patrons enjoy their regular visit upon shopping at the market. Karim is always welcoming and kind and has truly become part of the heart and soul of the Marche Notre-Dame.
The future of Squizz is now uncertain and the City of Versailles needs to be reminded how important Squizz is to its patrons.
We, the undersigned, call on everyone to help keep Squizz, and its delicious crepes and orange juice, operating at the Marche Notre-Dame.

How can anyone justify an organic - of all things - market if it costs a good hardworking entrepreneur his business??
Offcials should know it is this kind of small businesses who makes possible to buy organic food. Don't kill the business chain!
Karim is beloved by the whole community: he is kind, friendly, and helpful. He brings a warmth to the Marché Notre Dame de Versailles that many vendors lack. It would be foolish to get rid of such a widely popular local figure, and such undeniably popular crèpes!
Great with tourists, great with guides. Karim creates a wonderful atmosphere around the place.
Karim truly is the body & soul of the Versailles Market. His unwavering smile and good cheer is worth more than all the products in that market put together. In addition, the quality of his products is in line with the concept of an organic market, so his stand shouldnt even be an issue...
