Apache Junction has a lot of elderly people. A lot of them rely on the office in Apache Junction.

AJ needs a SSA building. We have a large elderly population, many of whom don't have transportation. It would be a shame to have a newer building sit empty.

We need a SS office in AJ. There are thousand of people in Gold Canyon . Why make people travel so far. Makes no sense.

Covid has made things hard enough. Each state has been given billions in federal aid to spend that is still sitting in excess. Arizona already had excess dollars it had not spent from other ventures(lottery etc.). Having a local office nearby and not in next county or city helps an already disadvantaged population just trying to get by. Many Soc Sec recipients do not have any other resources and receive no cost of living expenses increases that represent the true cost of living today. Cutting this office puts further burdens tha population using this location. Please dont do this ! If you need more money ask congress. They seem to have no problem granting themselves raises, vacation days, and the best health coverage. Think COMMUNITY, and HELP ! THANK YOU
