I just moved to Nashville last month and was elated to find a friendly game of pickup hockey in the park. The East Side of NV seems so welcoming and full of culture/activities. It would be unfortunate to reduce one of the offerings in lieu of even more tennis courts. The ones already in place there are sparsely used and tennis courts are all over. It seems tough to find a place to play hockey other than far west NV... Please reconsider.

Clearly there is a need for this type of space. Tennis is great, I've played on the Shelby courts but I have easily used the multi sport area as much or more often. Please don't limit the activities we love at Shelby park.

I have used this court many times for bicycle polo. Please fix the lights and keep it multi-use.

The multi-use space supports a diversity of activities, I do not support a change that would curtail these activities and effect a deserted space with less community involvement. Our tennis players have let us know they do not wait for court time as it stands now, so why would Metro Parks waste time and resources to devalue the space?
Indeed. Tennis is not the only sport in East Nashville. I'd venture to say the multi-use court gets a lot more activity than the tennis courts, and by all ages. Keep the mult-use court!!!

I have used this facility & surface for neighborhood youth hockey clinics in the past with future plans of hosting more free hockey clinics!
