On July 18th, Scott County FFA Almuni voted to discontinue Truck Tug events. This has been a Scott County tradition my whole life. Scott Countians make unforgettable memories at these events with family, friends, and neighbors. If we can bring them back efforts will be made to ensure everybody is aware of dates and times of future tugs. Please sign this petition to ensure we don’t lose this wonderful event in our community.

Seeing this kind of movement in our community reminds me of how many of us grew up watching these trucks pull and how much it truly means to our families. I never expected this much support so quickly and it gives me real hope that we can keep this tradition alive for the next generation.

One hundred signatures appeared on this page overnight. Growing up at these tugs meant everything to my family and I am deeply grateful to see so many neighbors feel the same way about our tradition.

I grew up building memories at these truck tugs and losing them feels like losing a piece of our history. We are getting very near the 250 mark and reaching that goal is the jump we need to get the board to listen to us. Please put this out on your social media pages right now so we can hit that target and fight for our tradition.

This event is such a great community event. It also is essential to FFA members, giving them events to run, and to teach keeping their commitments.

Keep the tugs, many look forward to this event every year it’s something alittle different that the entire family can enjoy and also brings in a very diverse crowd. And also the money raised goes towards a scholarship for a Scott County FFA senior. Keep tugging in SC!

This is absolutely crazy, I have been going to these events since I was a child. Now I like taking my children. This town is losing anything remotely fun for our families to do.

I have been going since I was 4 years old. It a part of our culture here. Everyone loves it why get rid of people love. Also it give people to go do something. Please don’t take it away

The problem is people forget we're they come from and they need to realize that just because everyone doesn't have a 100,000$ pulling truck that tuggers can still put on a good event for a good cause

Why take something away from our Community that brings us together and brings in money. And it's fun.
