RUAN NEEDS TO STAY AT ULSTER

If Ruan was keeping a young local player out of the scrum half position, yes certainly implement the Succession Policy, but he's not. With rumours Ruan will play for Munster, (who are also Governed by IRFU policies) it makes it farcical. Keep Ruan at Ulster. What does the EU Employment legislation say about not allowing someone to ply their trade where they want to? I'm sure the IRFU Policy isn't necessarily EU compliant.

Surely the positive contribution Ruan brings to others outweigh the perceived negatives suggested by the IRFU.

Ruan wants to stay, he should be allowed to stay. Don't force a family to move against their will. A true legend, one of the best to wear the red hand.

Why do we continually allow outstanding players to slip away

Ruan has improved the game of Paddy Jackson and the rest of the Ulster backline ten fold. The benefits far out weigh the foreign player ruling.

Let's Brexit and let Ulster rule Ulster. Ruan leaving would be so wrong.

He must be allowed to stay for the good of Ulster Rugby and for the sake of he and his family.

I agree with the IRFU policy in general but there isn't even a sign of a possible scrum half in Ulster, Ruan has developed Ulster Players and would continue to do so and would surely help bring on any emerging No.9. We need Ruan to stay for the sake of the Ulster teams progress, IRFU need to listen to the reasons and again the paying Ulster fans.

Don't kill Ulster rugby with stupid policy decisions. Listen to the fans for a change. We can't all be wrong.

He's an Ulster legend and has no doubt helped to develop the new young exciting backs we have coming through.
He should be shown more respect by the IRFU and allowed to stay and finish his playing career in Belfast!

So typical of the IRFU. Neither insight, sense or decency. Their inability to realise Ruan's ongoing potential for the younger players coming through is painful

A huge mistake by the IRFU. Most of the Northern support will feel very alienated by this appalling decision.
Let him stay!
