It has come to my attention that our postal carrier of approximately 5 years , Racheal Devine , will be taken off our route. She has come to know our names our pets our habits and we feel secure with her handling of our mail and packages. Since she knows the street so well I think she is much more efficient with deliveries and we are coming up on arguably the busiest season. Our street consistently has amazon and other packages delivered daily. Rachael never grumbles about the amount of extra work and many of us like to reward her dedication . I have seen her on my porch a few times way past dark during holiday season to get it all done. She notices when intruders are around our properties.
I feel having someone knowledgeable about her addresses will only enhance her performance and make deliveries more efficient. On days when we have substitutes it is not uncommon to get mail deliveries mixed up/ mail drop boxes left open and late deliveries .
I am sending this to the station manager In hope he reconsiders this and several other routes he has changed for neighbors and businesses near us that it will most likely impact negatively.
