It's one of the cleanest places in the borders closing it would be a disaster for hawick.

Love this Wetherspoons, beautiful building. Been in s few in the North East and they are not as nicely set out. Always found staff pleasant but busy. Value for money grub for families and older folk. Use this on a regular basis and bring friends and family with us too.
Do not close, there is nowhere else that fills this market and price range in the local area

This is one of the best Wetherspoons going! The people need to appreciate this place and start using it rather than giving negative comments about the people working there. The people in the pub do there very best, yes it’s not perfect but for how cheap it is can we expect 5 star service?? I think not!

Spoons doesn’t need Hawick, hawick need spoons. As for the “poorly managed” comments, let’s be honest You’re paying £20 for a family meal out. If you want waited on go spend £70-£100 else where for the service you require. The staff are always lovely & welcoming I’ve seen a big improvement the last 6 months or so especially in terms cleanliness. The Bourtree keeps some community spirit in a sadly dying town.
